Don’t let the “220″ part of the model number fool you: this is for North American 110/120 voltage only, NOT for the rest of the world’s 220/240 voltage. Also, it doesn’t protect both Ethernet and modem cables simultaneously, it will protect one or the other only.
Other than the aforementioned caveats, it’s a handy gadget and worth carrying to protect your electronics when travelling within the US.

This is small, lightweight, and works well. The photo only shows one outlet, but there are actually two (there is another outlet on the other side) so you can have up to two devices plugged into this adapter.

It works just like it’s supposed to… It’s not supper tiny, but then I’ve never seen a decent surge protector that was. I like the fact that the prongs fold up into the body so they don’t kill anything in my backpack or laptop case. I also like that fact that it’s a single unit without any extra cords. I have enough cables hanging off my laptop and one more to untangle & stuff in my bag would be one more too many…
I almost gave it four stars…then thought, “Why?” It does everything it’s designed to do and fits everything I carry my laptop in…

I purchased two of these to use in the two places in my house that I use my laptop. It is nice not having to move the cord and surge protector every time I move my laptop. It didn’t cost that much to have two AC Adapters and two of these surge protectors and the convenience is priceless.
I have found Belkin electronic items to always be of excellent quality.
Although I haven’t travelled with it yet, I know that I will appreciate having my own little surge protector to plug in when I am in a strange place. You cannot be too careful. It is compact and, with the plug part folded in, easy to pack up for traval.
***BTW, take note that they are also listed under the model number F9H220 for a lot more money, but they are both the exact same Belkin item!***

I cannot attest to its ability in the power surge department, as I’ve never had one, but I am a fan of most Belkin products and feel comfortable that it will do its job.
I purchased two of these to keep with my laptop cords, one in each of two opposite areas of my house, and plan to bring one with me when I travel. It is nicely made and I like having the outlets on the sides because I actually had to place each of them behind furniture and if the outlets were in the front they would protrude out WAY too far.
I didn’t have the problem that another reviewer mentioned about have a difficult time opening up the retracting plug, however, and found this very easy to operate.
